Welcome to Tutorial AI. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tutorial AI mobile application, the https://ai.tutorial.app website, and any related services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who We Are

Tutorial AI is an educational study tool that uses artificial intelligence to generate study material from links and content you provide. You can reach us at support@tutorial.app.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 17, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Accounts

To use most features of the Service you need an account. You can sign in with an email magic link or with Google. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly at support@tutorial.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. What Tutorial AI Does

Tutorial AI accepts a public link or text input from you and uses third-party AI models to generate study material — including summaries, explanations, key terms, flashcards, and quiz questions. The output is informational and intended only as a study aid. It is not professional, medical, legal, financial, or investment advice.

6. Your Content and Inputs

You retain ownership of any links, URLs, or text you submit to the Service (“Inputs”). By submitting Inputs, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process them solely to operate and improve the Service, including transmitting them to our AI service providers for the purpose of generating your lesson.

You represent that you have the right to submit your Inputs and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right.

7. AI-Generated Output

Lessons, summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and other materials produced by the Service (“Output”) are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying Output before relying on it. Output should not be presented as professional advice of any kind.

We may use anonymized or aggregated information about Output (without identifying you) to improve prompt quality and the Service.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Submit content you do not have the right to submit, or that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
Use the Service to generate or distribute illegal, harmful, hateful, deceptive, or harassing content.
Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, underlying ideas, or AI prompts from the Service.
Attempt to circumvent free-tier limits, usage quotas, or subscription gates.
Use automated means to access the Service except via features we explicitly provide.
Use the Service to build a competing product, or to train another AI system.

9. Subscriptions, Billing, and Renewal

Tutorial AI offers an optional paid “Pro” subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are governed by the store’s payment terms. We do not store your payment card details.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. To cancel, manage, or request a refund, use the subscription settings in your Apple ID or Google account. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide prorated refunds.

10. Free Tier Limits

The free tier currently includes 5 lesson generations per week, plus 3 bonus generations on your first day, and a library cap of 20 lessons. These limits help us keep the free tier sustainable. We may change them at any time with notice in-app or by email.

11. Third-Party Content

Links you submit may point to content owned and operated by third parties (for example, YouTube videos or articles on other websites). We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for that content. Your use of third-party content is subject to the terms of the third-party site.

12. Intellectual Property

The Tutorial AI name, logo, website, app, and original Service content (excluding your Inputs and the underlying source material) are our property or that of our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use them without our written permission.

13. Educational-Only Disclaimer

Content generated by the Service is for educational purposes only. Anything you read in Tutorial AI about finance, investing, cryptocurrency, blockchain, markets, securities, or trading is not financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, medical, or professional advice and should not be relied on as such. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions in those areas.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TUTORIAL AI AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) USD $50 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tutorial AI and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from (a) your Inputs, (b) your use of the Service, or (c) your violation of these Terms.

17. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure for us or other users.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and Tutorial AI agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts for any disputes that are not subject to arbitration.
